Ivette Santibáñez, attorney, in a red blouse against a gray backdrop

Ivette Santibáñez

Attorney

Ivette files every case herself, from the first petition to the last hearing, and holds consultations in English or Spanish.

Ivette grew up in Lake County, where her parents filled out their own immigration forms at the kitchen table. After law school she worked in a legal aid clinic in Chicago, then opened her own office in Waukegan.

She added Aurora when clients from Kane County told her the drive was the hardest part of the case, and she now holds Wednesdays in Elgin. She is a lawyer, not a notario, and says so on the first call.

Why three doors

An office where clients already are

Many clients work shifts and share one car. A short drive, an evening slot and a visit in your language decide whether you make the appointment.

Each office files the same way: one checklist, one file and one person who answers the phone. Dhruv Mehrotra prepares forms in Aurora, Brisa Cardenal runs the front desk in Waukegan, and Ivette signs every filing.
